This trip departs from Toronto (Yorkdale mall) to Algonquin Park - Canada's oldest Provincial Park. A truly tree-mendous place. This trip is a hike only trip, there won't be any canoeing or cycling on this one. We will be mostly tackling easy to moderate trails and those will be based on group ability and trail conditions.

Saturday departure time: 07:30 AM

Sunday departure time: 09:00 AM

Trails we may visit include: Lookout trail, Beaver Pond trail, Whiskey Rapids trail, Bat Lake trail, Booths rock trail, Hardwood lookout trail, Spruce Bog boardwalk trail & more!

If the trails are icy or snowy, we will bring crampons and snow shoes.

This trip will take place in our 15 passenger customized transit. Onboard we have a TV, basic WIFI, Games Console, Karaoke and more! However there is not a washroom. We will make washroom breaks every 1-2 hours.

FAQ's

What's included?

☑️ Return transportation

☑️ Entry permit for Algonquin provincial Park

☑️ Hiking in Nature

Will there be food?

We suggest bringing some snacks with you to sustain the day. While we'll make a stop in Huntsville for a washroom/grocery break. A picnic on the hike is a good idea (not inculded) so planning for that is a suggestion. The visitor centre does have a cafeteria and a microwave if you'd like to heat food up. They have a donation system for the items available but please note, it is somewhat limited.

Parking

We do our pick-ups from Yorkdale TTC passenger pick-up. We suggest taking public transportation to the meeting point. If you must take the car, the options are to park at Wilson Passenger pick-up and parking—this is free on the weekends and subject to availability. We would not suggest parking at Yorkdale Mall as vehicles may be ticketed or towed after 5 hours.

Fitness

Generally speaking, Northbound tours gets a lot of millennials (20-45 year olds). While we don't exclude any age groups, we do emphasize that you know what you are signing up for. Hiking on trails is not the same as walking in the city. If you sign up and you are not able to hike, you will effect everyones day out and may be refused entry on the trip.

Can I bring my pet?

We love animals, but we can't allow pets, we’re afraid. We will designate a few pet-friendly dates each year, but it's impossible for us to know if anyone has an allergy to dogs or cats, etc., ahead of time, and we don't want to cause any reactions in an enclosed space. We really do think dogs are paw-fect! And we will aim to offer some pet-friendly dates which will be clearly listed in the future.
