We have two options for rafting.
1) Adventure Whitewater Rafting: Up the challenge in our smaller 7-person rafts! A guide will teach you to paddle, surf, and attempt to flip the boat over! This trip is wetter, and more physically active. Passengers must weigh at least 41kg (90lb).
2) Family Whitewater Rafting: Our skilled raft guides introduce you to the river world – while you hold on and enjoy the adventure in our 12-person rafts. To get you in the swim of things, there are opportunities to jump into the current – so dress to get wet! Suitable for ages 2 & up! This trip is more mellow and scenic, suitable for people who may be nervous.
N.B. Bookings must be done by the Monday (7am) to guarantee a place, after this time, spaces are subject to availability. All participants must sign a waiver. No waiver, no water.
There aren't many places that are reachable by bus from Toronto where you can go White water rafting on a day trip. The Grand River may have enough water, but that is only in spring and the notice to signing up is last minute. The Ottawa river is a great destination, but you really need a night there given the distance. We don't discourage it, it's a great overnight trip as is the Grand River when it's operating for White water.
For our rafting, we will visit the Madawaska river! From Monday to Thursday, they open the dams which pour water into the river creating the white water that makes rafting fun.
On the way to the Madawaska, we'll make a stop at the freshly opened Canadian Canoe Museum. You'll learn all about canoes from the national museum. Then we'll head north to get on the water ourselves with the MKC team (Madawaska Kanu center).
This one isn't for the light hearted. It'll be a full day on the road, a good time on the river, and we'll be back in Toronto after a 13 hour jaunt.
This tour will take place in our 15 passenger customized transit. Onboard we have a TV, basic WIFI, Games Console, Karaoke and more! However there is not a washroom. We will make washroom breaks every 1-2 hours.
This tour departs from Toronto (Yorkdale TTC Passenger pick up).
