Have you ever wondered 'how many international foods are there in Toronto?' If so, you've found the blog you've been looking for. As of December 2024, we have compiled a list of 120 places you can get international food in Toronto. That's 120 different nationalities food you can buy in Toronto. Some of the entries are outside the city, but hey, free list, enjoy. It's worth noting that most of these are restaurants. While we found some restaurants that offered a number of dishes from their continent, we've tried to keep it to one country per place. Some of the places that have been added are places you can get their foods, for instance a grocery store. In searching for foods, we noted a large of restaurants that have closed down. The list would and could be much higher, but so many have closed down. Let's try and support those who are open!
One of the major strengths of Toronto is it's diverse cultures melting into one pot. Being an immigrant myself, I noticed that there were so many options for food in Toronto. It's said that half of the people in Toronto were not born here.
Myself and my friends used to love trying different restaurants from around the world. It got me thinking one night, is it possible to eat every countries food in the world here? The short answer is no. If you're from the City of Toronto marketing team, send me a message as I think it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to have an annual festival where we invite the countries who are missing for a big food extravaganza! Tell me that wouldn't generate more buzz for the city and be a worthwhile return on investment.
Anyways, you're here because you would like a list of 120 international foods in Toronto. We've made a spreadsheet containing our findings, you can find that below. Once you are in the sheet, there are instructions on how to use it. Just be sure to copy and paste the data into your own sheet so you can edit it for yourself.
I'm sure there are many countries missing from this list. We'd love to hear from you for the ones we are missing and also if you think another place would be better for certain regional food. We haven't had a chance to try all of these, so we'll go with whichever one is the highest rated if it comes to a heated draw.
